A great art event coming up this weekend. I am unsure if there are tickets left, but a great way to get some of Australia’s most collectable artists on your wall, while supporting a cause. Here is the spiel from the website:

Sadly my neighbor 'Ian' that lives in the factory opposite my studio died last week. He had a heart attack in the shower, and smashed his head, the police couldn't lift the body out of the shower , so dave the steel guy had to help, he said it was quite sad.

This is the start of a large work on paper. It's going to sit in the studio for about 6 - 12 months, being added to the hole time. Im interested to see what forms it starts to take, the messages in the work will also change, as I find things of new meaning and relevance.

So stoked that I got to hang out with Andrew Stockdale, lead singer from Wolf Mother. I went out to his studio in Brisbane to do a few sketches of him. He agreed to sit for me so I have decided to enter the Archibald Prize, kind of something that just happened organically so I decided to just roll with it. Ill put up some pics of the art work wen I start.

No post again, but been keeping to myself a bit. Lots going on, including a new studio space, I managed to rent out an old factory in an industrial area not to far from the woods. I will still be living up hear but I cant wait to have a new space with all rooms for my art ! Stoked. Ill put in some shots next month wen I get to move in. Also some images for my next show, it's a two man experimental thing me and my friend Andrew have been wanting to throw together for a year or so now. We decided to hit our friends up at nine lives gallery to host the exhibition. Dates are now all set, - October 28 - Which is rad for us because we get to see some amazing artist run shows as the www.bari.com.au/ is on. Our show is titled 'The Water Mountain Experiments' hope if your in the Brisbane area you can pop in.

Sorry for the lack of posts, once again. I just finished up a new work, and it always take me a bit of time to want to think about art after that. But I have been working on two new bodies of work, im in a kind of experemental stage, so not to sure how this batch of paintings will turn out, just wanted to step away from what is normal, and comfprtable. Its not all set in stone, but I might do a pop up show with my pals at nine lives, just showing some of these messed up experements.

Also be sure to get your mitts on the next edition of fallen magazine, good people and nice publication. Em made her way out to the studio, we had tea, and chatted about what ever it is we talked about. Also if your in New York, or can get your mitts on the New York Arts Magazine there is a interview and some new works to look at, also i think they did a online thing.

In between working on my larger pieces that are extremely labour intensive, I have been doing these ink drawings, there mostly of people out of newspapers and magazines, the subjects dont rely have any importance, there more about line and leaving a mark on the paper.
