Swim in dry Water

I got this old receipt book from the opp shop, the other day. I think im going to make a book filled with all the sketches in it.
I might give this original to my friend paul, he said he liked it... or I might not, im having a show in melb on the 23rd. ill let

Mahjong

I have been working on some new works for a, Hong Kong based publication called CREAM. Those of you that are
unaware of this book, are missing out. Ron, one of the nice guys that work at cream was good enough to send me out a
few copys of the different issues. There layout and pakaging design was amazing, each book has a different theme, and the one im in was based around the famous board game, Mahjong. Any way, i have put a few snaps i took of the older edition
I think you might be able to grab a few copies, on line im no to sure, they might be sold out.

So I finished up with that head spinn art work. I gave the original to anthony lister, after hanging with him in sydney, he was stoked, that made me stoked... I think I will use the design for this snow board range im working on.

ABC Studios

No posts for a bit, I just got back from Sydney, were I was stoked to be asked to complete a artwork for
the triple j studio wall. Anthony Lister was the other artist, who has been one of my favorite artists, and it was
a great pleasure and learning experience painting and hanging with him, and his crew. Most of these pics are
at the beginning stages, so ill put up another finished one latter,

I just watched back to the future, for the 888,000 time, best show.. once me and my brother went to this guys house
to pull parts off this old holden, and he had a dalorian, well i think it was more of a torana, that he had modified. It looked like shit, but he was rely happy with his efforts.

I no I have been talking about these tees im bringing out, but they are on there way, i have finalized the cut,
and they will be very limited, like I think I might even make a design that only goes on one tee, and
it will be a 8XL so start eating now !

he cant spell either, and gets a little pissed if i ask him if its, 'there, or their....

FLOG // ZINE

So the good lads from Alter, have produced a sweet zine called 'FLOG'. I relly like it and were stoked to get a few pics dropped
in the first edition. I think there keen to keep going with it, but keeping it real open.... nice and free... they should be littering
the streets of melbourne, they dont exactly no what it will contain each mont, and i think that s the best bit about it.

Any how it has a sweet look into cut//copy's life, and some sweet artisits in it too, my fav, ' hellow mr. go check out the

There has been this huge heat wave the last few days, and just as it broke the skyes started to go these crazy colours. And now
there is a massive lightining storm, Phill collins is playing in he back ground, and im not to sure who put it on.... there is allot more to this image, but i like this section and the rest is not complete, ill put it up again wen its all finished. +

I have been working on a few new works at the moment, not to sure were there all heading. But im keeping it loose,
trying to think in different ways, not just with art, but life...

Any way I should have a few more by the end of the week, but no promises. Or i almost forgot, HAPPY EASTER,
stay away from rabbits with red eyes, there not only evil but they have rabies, and look shit in photos.

No Comply 08

Post man Pat, dropped off these sweet new decks off at the studio this morning. Big thanks to Alex,

Unicorn

This is a print im working on at the moment for Insight. Its a fun brief, the design is for a chick top and it will be running over two tops, that you were together, does that make sense? Well any way, its still at the start of the design, might throw in some spot colors and text, but if your wondering about all the layers of paper, its not me trying something different, i just couldn't afford the larger paper. +

I drew this will watching this old school surf vid, call 'Fantasia' its the best, and the music is just so inspiring, they dont make films like they used to. I spoke to my web man, and i should have a new page up real soon, so thats sweet, ill be selling some limited edition tees, zines, and other junk. +

mooks art space

I kind of didn't realize how big this illustration was going to be printed ! I was lost in the city, trying to find my way to meet a friend when i saw it from the other side of the road. Dont get me wrong I am way stoked about it, and glad that the lads at mooks, and monster children like my works, but you can really see the parts in the work that i was a bit slack with...... sweet old camera i scored at the oppy, some of the pics came out real nice. +

The Studio

Since taking a huge break, I have recently moved away from the city, and into the forrest. Its great, I have set up this old log cabin which looks like a tree house, and turned into my new studio! Ill post some other pics up wen its complete, but I thought i might show you a few of my friends. Yep this bird comes to visit during the day around, 12, and I hook up with the possum any time after night fall, we sit around eating apples, bitching about the wombat next door, not much different to any other room mate I guess....

empty magazine

I managed to get one of my most recent illustrations in the latest edition of EMPTY MAGAZINE, im stoked because its such a sweet publication and its always filled with amazing artist. This issue was no exception, that front cover illustrated by David Kassan is amazing, and works of other favorite artist of mine like, Hellovon,Ryan Mclennan, and Sam Webber. So my work is the one on the left, and the other is by Steven Muller, ( i hope he dosnt mind) +

I just started this one, im happy with were its going thought id just take a snap, because its not uncommon for me to muck it totally up. But only time will tell.

design is kinky

I managed to take out first prize in 'design is kinky's -one color comp, yey! my design was very simple, i was trying to incorporate Sammy the squirrel, with some of todays political events, but keeping it light hearted.

there is also two other sweet designs, created by them, and there all hand printed, which is real cool i think, because you get those little imperfections, that make you feel like 'one human has made this, and then one human has bought this, not like it has been spat out with ten thousand other shirts. so go and buy one before they all go ! http://designiskinky.net/dik_tees/

So I have been on a bit of a break, more so a long break..... but its been good for the sole, and mind..... Any way Im
back now and I will be getting together a new web page along with some new shows, and other news.

Speaking of other news, I have recently become apart of this sweet new illustration agency called, the Jacky Winter group,

In other news, The main man and good friend behind all the commotion Jeremy, decided to have a launch expo, it was sweet! there were all sorts of wild and native birds flying around during the opening night, while a DJ played beats with bird noises over the top.
